Alex’s Place at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art facility that provides our pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients with survivorship care.

Childhood Cancer Survivorship Care

We provide coordinated, integrated, and personalized cancer survivorship care to childhood cancer survivors, no matter what type of cancer they experienced. Our goals are simple: surveillance and prevention. We also help childhood cancer survivors transition to adult survivorship care.

Once a childhood cancer survivor is two years post-treatment and the primary oncologist deems it appropriate, our team will provide them with a comprehensive, individualized survivorship care plan to improve the childhood cancer survivor’s quality of life. Depending on their needs, they will receive comprehensive medical, psychological, and socioeconomic support to assist with life beyond cancer, including vocational and educational needs. We also offer onco-fertility services. Our goal is to create age-appropriate conversations for survivorship needs that arise at specific life stages.
