The Sylvester Data Portal (SDP) is Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center’s research data platform for precision medicine and AI-enabled cancer research. It provides investigators with a secure environment to collect, harmonize, manage, analyze, visualize, and share multimodal biomedical data generated through the institution’s research studies, clinical programs, and other collaborations.

OncoPRO
Who participates in OncoPRO?
OncoPRO is currently implemented for patients enrolled in Phase I and II clinical trials at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. These participants receive digital symptom questionnaires before clinic visits and engage with their care team through the OncoPRO workflow as part of their clinical trial experience.
How does OncoPRO work for patients?
Patients in Phase I & II clinical trials receive a MyChart notification or email before their clinic visit, complete symptom questionnaires online and discuss their responses with an advanced practice provider during the visit.
What types of symptoms does OncoPRO monitor?
OncoPRO captures symptoms across multiple domains, including attention/memory, cardiological, cutaneous, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, mood, neurological, oral, pain, respiratory, sexual, sleep/wake, visual/perception and more.
What are the benefits of using OncoPRO?
OncoPRO improves the frequency of adverse event reporting and can enhance patient safety and quality of care, optimize provider response times, and reduce the risk of patient decompensation through structured, frequent symptom tracking.
My Wellness Check
What types of symptoms and needs does My Wellness Check assess?
The system assesses physical symptoms, psychosocial symptoms, nutrition needs, and practical needs such as transportation, childcare, education, and stress management.
Who responds to My Wellness Check alerts?
Relevant provider teams, such as social work, medical and nutrition teams, are alerted in real-time via EPIC and asked to select a disposition based on the stated need or elevated score.
How does a patient access the My Wellness Check questionnaire?
Use the MyChart app on your smartphone or tablet, or visit MyUHealthChart.com. Sign in with the access code provided at the last visit or in the after-visit summary (AVS). If you cannot find the code, contact 877-448-1773. Once logged in, go to the message folder to find the questionnaire.
What metrics are available for clinics and clinicians to see from My Wellness Check?
PROMIS measures use a T-score metric in which 50 is the mean of a relevant reference population and 10 is the standard deviation of that population. Patients with PROMIS T-scores falling within “moderate” or “severe” thresholds will trigger an alert to the appropriate care team for triaging. In addition to physical and psychosocial symptoms, providers can also monitor and track a patient's practical and nutritional needs in the electronic health record over time.

Who can use the My Wellness Research platform?
The My Wellness Research platform is intended for University of Miami and collaborating institution researchers conducting studies that require secure collection and management of wellness or health-related data.

My Wellness Research provides customizable survey tools, participant management, automated reminders, secure data storage, and real-time reporting to facilitate study administration and data collection.
How is participant privacy protected in My Wellness Research?
My Wellness Research follows strict data security protocols, including HIPAA compliance, data encryption, and role-based access controls, to ensure participant information is protected at all times.

My Wellness Pediatrics
How does the My Wellness Check Pediatrics screening process work?
Pediatric patients and their families receive notifications 72 hours before a clinic visit, prompting them to complete age-appropriate health assessments in the MyChart patient portal. Parents or caregivers complete the assessments for younger children, while adolescents may fill out their own confidential self-assessments. Providers review the results, and address any identified needs during the visit or through timely follow-up.
What happens after needs are identified through My Wellness Check Pediatrics?
If the assessments reveal concerns, the care team and support services (like Social Work, Nutrition, Behavioral Health, etc.) create an individualized, multidisciplinary care plan. Referrals are generated automatically, and follow-up is provided within 72 hours to ensure appropriate interventions.
What areas of health does My Wellness Check Pediatrics assess?
My Wellness Check Pediatrics covers a wide range of areas, including anxiety, depression, developmental milestones, emotional and behavioral health, sleep, nutrition, chronic disease management, social determinants of health (such as food insecurity and housing), family support, school performance, and overall health-related quality of life.
What is the purpose of the My Wellness Check Pediatrics pilot implementation?
The pilot implementation of My Wellness Check Pediatrics is being conducted in selected pediatric ambulatory oncology clinics to assess feasibility, acceptability, workflow integration, and provider/patient satisfaction. Feedback from Family Advisory Councils and patient representatives informs the user-friendly, family-centered design. Pilot results guide future expansion based on improvements in screening completion, referral effectiveness, provider engagement, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.

What data does My Wellness Support incorporate into its AI chat feature?
My Wellness Support uses clinical EHR data, Large Language Models (LLMs)/Natural Language Processing (NLP) extracted reports, Non-Medical Drivers of Health, PROs, registries, Apps, wearables and genomic data.
What types of symptoms and needs does My Wellness Support assess?
My Wellness Support helps breast cancer survivors with self-management and monitoring, emotional and physical symptoms, improved quality of life, symptom burden, reduced distress, hospitalizations, and related costs.
Who can use My Wellness Support?
Currently, My Wellness Support is only available for breast cancer survivors. Researchers will then evaluate feasibility and usability among this group before launching a larger study of patient outcomes and implementation strategies.
