Research Focus
Proliferative cells, such as cancer cells and activated T cells, continually reprogram their metabolism to support uncontrolled growth. High-resolution liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) is a powerful tool that enables us to study these dynamic changes. In our laboratory, we develop advanced LC-MS based methods and biochemical assays to detect abnormal metabolites, trace their fate within cells, and uncover novel metabolite-protein interactions that regulate cellular physiology and growth. By dissecting the biochemical mechanisms that underlie metabolic adaptation, we aim to define key metabolic control points that drive disease progression and translate these insights into innovative therapeutic strategies.
