Research Focus

Dr. Jaimes research is dedicated to skin cancer prevention. Her research team performs clinical and translational research in primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention of skin cancer. Her research team efforts are dedicated to exploring and developing strategies to improve early detection of skin cancer and improve quality of life. Her research team is committed to excellence in research and education of skin cancer prevention, with multiple ongoing projects that focus on ways to improve early detection using different technologies and tools, such as dermoscopy, total body photography, confocal microscopy, among others.  

Our mission is to reduce skin cancer-related deaths by improving early detection of skin cancer, in a cost-effective way.
