If you had a hematopoietic cell transplantation type of treatment at Sylvester or another cancer center, you can get personalized survivorship care from our Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Survivorship Clinic. Our experts will be there for you every step of your health journey.

At Sylvester’s Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Survivorship Clinic, our goal is to help prevent and treat complications of hematopoietic cell transplantation through a comprehensive evaluation and follow-up care plan.

Blood cancer survivors who received a hematopoietic stem cell transplantation or cellular therapy are at risk for treatment-related complications long after treatment. Some symptoms and syndromes may include:

  • Cognitive problems
  • Fatigue
  • Insomnia
  • Emotional distress and depression
  • Infections
  • New or recurring cancer
  • Bone loss
  • Cardiovascular dysfunction
  • Endocrine dysfunction
  • Pulmonary dysfunction
  • Renal dysfunction
  • Sexual dysfunction

For survivors who received an allogeneic hematopoietic transplant, we offer a Graft versus Host Disease Clinic that provides expert treatment and access to promising new treatments through clinical trials.
