The Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Shared Resource (BBSR) provides Sylvester cancer researchers with contemporary biostatistics, bioinformatics, and computational expertise in support of clinical trials and laboratory and population-based cancer research studies. The BBSR contributes to all phases of research, including study design, data analysis and interpretation, and education in quantitative science methods and application tools. Members of the BBSR are constantly available to Sylvester investigators, participate in all three Research Programs, and engage other shared resource leaders to ensure comprehensive and seamless support. BBSR faculty and staff have extensive cancer-specific experience, expertise, and ongoing collaborations with a range of Sylvester researchers, aiding in the analysis of laboratory experiments, clinical samples, clinical trials, and population-based interventional/non-interventional studies. BBSR is also actively involved in teaching and training of investigators, fellows and research staff in the use of cutting-edge software systems and analysis methods.
