How to support family, friends, coworkers, and others in their grief

Knowing how to support someone who is grieving can be challenging. Whether it's anticipating what they need, or figuring out what to say, we know it can be hard.

Grief is different for everyone but gaining a better understanding of the general grieving process can help you with being a comforting and understanding presence for someone who is living with loss.

Compassionate communities who are grief literate are positioned to provide meaningful support to a grieving person and make a difference. We invite you to use the following educational resources to take a step towards becoming grief literate.
