The Behavioral & Community-Based Shared Resource (BCSR) facilitates biobehavioral, community-based, and population research for Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center investigators. It has highly qualified staff with the necessary expertise to provide a wide array of support services in both clinical and community settings. Such services are comprehensive in scope and aim to:

• Coordinate the recruitment and retention of diverse study participants representative of Sylvester’s catchment area
  
• Support the development of culturally and linguistically tailored study materials
  
• Facilitate data collection, including biospecimens, in clinical and community settings
  
• Assist with the development and delivery of evidence-based interventions from prevention to survivorship

Additionally, the BCSR translates research documents into Spanish and/or Haitian Creole, including informed consent forms and other study materials essential for successfully enrolling and retaining participants to clinical trials.
