Duration of Training: 1 Year
- Inpatient Rotation: 3 months
- Outpatient Clinical Rotation: 3 days per week

Training Sites:
Fellows will train at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center's main campus and the Lennar Foundation Medical Center. The site schedule is subject to change as the myeloma program continues to grow and as clinical roles/duties may change for myeloma experts on the service.Schedule:
- Fellows will work directly with Myeloma specialists in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
- The Fellows will evaluate and present patients independently, present patients and discuss management and therapies with mentoring physicians.
- They will participate in tumor boards, present patient cases, discuss results, as well as discuss treatment and follow up plans.
- The fellow will participate in faculty meetings and other recurring meetings; learning directly from experts.
Eligibility and Application:
Applicants need to have attained a M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. (or the equivalent). Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Heme-Onc fellowship.
Fellowship Goals and Objectives:
Myeloma is a complicated disease that has shown to have better management and outcomes with a physician specially trained in Myeloma.
The goal of the Advanced Myeloma Fellowship is train fellows to provide specialized care for patients with Myeloma, as well as improve their ability to design and implement clinical and investigator-initiated research studies.
After the one-year fellowship, fellows will be expected to have specialized knowledge in the biology and treatment of multiple myeloma and the precursor disorders.
Fellows will be able to conduct clinical research studies and strengthen their skills on study design, analysis, interpretation, and implementation.
Each fellow will be able to provide care independently within a clinical setting, design and implement research projects, and work as an academic faculty member.

Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is the only NCI-Designated Cancer Center in South Florida, serving one of the most diverse catchment areas in the country.
